Construction of this steampunk topper
The crown is made from wool-blend felt, shaped into a tapered point and finished with an asymmetric curled brim. The brass zipper runs from the brim's edge to the crown's peak, flanked by gear hardware and the skull medallion. At the back, a cluster of smaller gears surrounds a white filigree flower. A double row of silver studs and clear crystals wraps the base of the crown where it meets the brim.
